We have developed online product learning modules and a set of product accreditation questions. The modules and product accreditation are there to support you and ensure that you meet the care, diligence and skill required to represent our AIA Living product range.

We have developed two AIA Vitality learning modules and a set of accreditation questions:

  • Introduction to AIA Vitality
  • AIA Vitality Premium Adjustment Rules

These modules will be available from 26 July and will be rolled out progressively. If you have any questions, please contact your Business Development Manager.

Training and accreditation

Before you advise clients on our new AIA Living product range, please ensure that you have understood the product design and pricing.

The AIA Living product design resembles the enhanced Sovereign TotalCareMax product which was broadly aligned with the existing AIA REAL product. The AIA Living pricing structure contains a Multi-Benefit Discount structure resembling the existing AIA REAL product range. As such, many of you will be very familiar with the product construct.

We have developed online product learning modules and a set of product accreditation questions. The modules and product accreditation are there to support you and ensure that you meet the care, diligence and skill required to represent our AIA Living product range. The learning design gives you the ability to access and complete accreditation without having completed the online learning module.  Each module takes about 20 minutes to complete depending on your experience and how long you spend on each section.

The modules below will be available from 26 July and will be rolled out progressively with further communication about accreditation completion requirements for you.

From 5 August, we are aligning our Contact Centre teams for all advisers and customers. This will enhance our service by streamlining our processes and simplify the way you work with us.

We have identified key contact numbers and email addresses that you will need, whether you’ve been an AIA or Sovereign adviser in the past. Please keep a hold of this Adviser Contact Sheet, as this contains useful information.

Ascend loyalty bonus

11 July 2019

One of the benefits of the Sovereign Ascend programme has been the Ascend Loyalty Bonus. Sovereign Advisers who qualified in the Platinum, Gold, or Silver tiers had the ability to earn up to an additional 10% commission on new business.

The AIA Living product range will offer you a new and simplified commission structure, which addresses key points raised in the FMA review. Our new commission structure is straightforward to understand and discloses that we offer a flat headline commission rate across all risk products and a choice of an “Upfront” or “Pendulum” option.

We have taken the view that volume and persistency related commission bonuses drive unnecessary complexity and risk distracting attention away from the important work that advisers perform for customers. As a result of these changes, the Ascend loyalty bonus will be discontinued.

We will share the commission schedule for the AIA Living product range with you in two weeks.
